Conor McGregor receives warning from Donald Cerrone
Conor McGregor has been warned by Donald Cerrone not to bring up family in his pre-fight trash talk ahead of their UFC 246 clash on Saturday week. “He’s the best at it,” Cerrone said of McGregor’s mental warfare during an interview with MMA Fighting.
“The thing is, you’d really have to go low, talk about my grandma or my kid and then it would put it on another level. You understand what I’m saying?
“Then I’ll just come f**k you up in the lobby type s**t. I don’t think it’s ever going to go that way. He understands that. We’re fighting, he can talk about that all he wants, but don’t low blow.“
He later added: “Just like I don’t say nothing about him. I don’t care. He lives his life out of fighting, that’s his thing. I got nothing to say about it.
“He’s his own man. I’m going to try to get in there and mix it up with him. I’m happy to welcome him back."

Conor McGregor coach predicts potential Justin Gaethje fight
McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh reckons a lightweight showdown with Justin Gaethje would see the ‘The Notorious’ knock out the former World Series of Fighting 155lb champion.
"Just to look at Gaethje as an opponent; very good competitor, hard hitter, comes forward, lot of pressure, exciting fighter," the SBG Ireland chief told The Mac Life.
"Him matched up against Conor at some stage would be fantastic. I think that would be a great fight.

"I think the fans would love it. I think stylistically it suits Conor. Conor uses a huge amount of pressure, but I think he’s actually better countering.
"But he doesn't counter like most counter fighters by just staying out of range and moving backwards, [an] enormous amount of pressure, gets a reaction, puts you to sleep.
"I think that’s what would happen in a Justin fight, considering how he fights.
"That being said, solid competitor and it'd be a great fight."
Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone predicted by Georges St-Pierre
Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre believes McGregor’s best route to victory against Cerrone lies with him scoring a knockout in the first two rounds.
“If it’s a quick fight it’s going to be McGregor, if it’s a long fight it’s going to be Cerrone,” St-Pierre said.
“It depends, if Cerrone comes and tries to grapple because he’s got a very, very good ground game, his ground game is very underrated.
“I’ve trained with him before and he’s got a good takedown. He is very explosive to shoot the takedown.
“People doesn’t know that because he doesn’t use it much - he used it against Patrick Cote - but if he does that to weather the first couple minutes of the storm and McGregor’s powerful left hand, I think he can get it.”
When pressed on Cerrone's route to victory, 'GSP' added: “It depends what will be his approach, what tools he’s gonna use.
“I think if he wrestles in round one he has a good chance to win. But if he tries to play a boxing and karate game with McGregor, McGregor will tag him and knock him out.
