Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov should receive the same punishment for their actions in the UFC 229 brawl, the UFC lightweight champion’s head coach Javier Mendez believes.
“If someone is going to get punished, the other should get punished the same,” Mendez told Express Sport. “There shouldn’t be special treatment for either one of them.
“If they’re both going to get punished, they both get punished. If one doesn’t get punished, neither should the other.”

UFC commentator Joe Rogan Joe Rogan has claimed he’d do everything in his power to book a trilogy fight between McGregor and Nate Diaz if he was in charge of the promotion.
During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, he said: “If I was a promoter, I'd be calling Nate and saying, 'What do we have to do?' Give him what he wants. Give him a lot of money!"
He added: “It's not just a good fight. "It's a gigantic, fan-friendly event."
