UFC News - Khabib Nurmagomedov praises Conor McGregor
Khabib Nurmagomedov has praised Conor McGregor for making their UFC 229 showdown the biggest fight in mixed martial arts history.
"You know, you should give credit to Conor," said Nurmagomedov during a recent interview with RT Sport. "He is very popular. Was I as popular before the fight? I don’t think so. But if you compare us as athletes, I proved that I am better.
"But as a star he is much brighter than me. I don’t know how much now, but before the fight, definitely."
UFC News - Darren Till calls out Anderson Silva
Darren Till has called out former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, who he’s challenged to meet him inside the Octagon at UFC London in March.
He tweeted: “@SpiderAnderson just heard that s**t you said, what the f**k you going on about trying to get a fight with @TheNotoriousMMA.
“Your not getting that fight ye baldy p***k, I’ll fight ye in @ufc #London. Slap that baldy head off ye just like bisping did. #SamuelLJackson.”
UFC News - Dana White discusses the future of the flyweight division
UFC president Dana White has refused to clarify the status of the men’s flyweight division, which lost several fighters last week.
“Listen, we’re working on some things right now with that division,” White said when asked about the 125lbs division. “Dillashaw wants to win two belts like there’s five or six guys who have done it. He wants to do it.
“Cejudo is absolutely fine fighting at that weight instead of going to 135 [pounds] so we made it.”
