UFC News - Conor McGregor returns to training
Conor McGregor has returned to training following his UFC 229 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
McGregor, 30, suffered a fourth-round submission defeat to his successor at the summit of the lightweight division early last month, a defeat which saw him fail to reclaim the title he was stripped of in May.
The Dubliner went on a whirlwind tour to prop our his whiskey brand shortly after the fight but has since resumed training at SBG Ireland, a fact which was revealed by his head coach - John Kavanagh - on Instagram.
UFC News - Khabib Nurmagomedov’s defiant vow
Nurmagomedov has vowed not to attend his scheduled disciplinary hearing in Las Vegas, the result of his antics after his maiden title defence.
"I'm not going to Vegas for the court," Nurmagomedov told Bein Sports Turkey. "I am not guilty. I just defended my family and my religion.
"If they want to punish me, they can get all the money I earn. They can give me 10 years ban. I don’t care."
UFC News - Daniel Cormier sends warning to Brock Lesnar
UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has warned Brock Lesnar not to enter the Octagon this weekend if he wins his bout with Derrick Lewis.
"This time, I will advise him to stay out of the Octagon," 'DC' said. "Because last time he pushed me across the cage and I hate that visual. I hate that that's the visual that's going to be shown in the build-up to our fight.
"This time I will buckle my heels into the mat and I will be ready to push him or smack him upside his head."
