The iconic court is home to the Royal Box which is filled by celebrities, sports stars and other invited guests and this year, it could be graced by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, who got married on May 19.
Federer has a close relationship with the Royal Family having visited Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge in November.
It will be very nice to see Harry and Meghan
Federer was playing at the ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 Arena but on one free evening he and his wife Mirka took their twin girls Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, eight, and twin boys Leo and Lennart, four, to Kensington Palace.
And when asked if he was excited to see Markle, Federer said he was hopeful of seeing her.
“Ah ha, yes! I know the Royal Family quite well, and I also watched some of the Royal Wedding this summer,” the 36-year-old said in an interview with Credit Suisse.
“What a spectacle, what a wedding! In a way you want to do it like this, in a way you are also happy that yours is not as big as this one.
“The marriage was a great start to the summer for London and the country. This will keep going with Wimbledon. I'm very excited.
“And, yes, it will be very nice to see Harry and Meghan.”
