Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal Wimbledon prediction made by Tim Henman
ROGER FEDERER and Rafael Nadal’s chances of Wimbledon success could be affected by four players.
Those are the thoughts of BBC Sport pundit Tim Henman.
Federer goes into Wimbledon as the overwhelming favourite despite seeing his 20-match run on grass halted by Borna Coric in the Halle Open final on Sunday.
The Swiss legend, who has dropped to world No 2 following that defeat, is aiming to lift his ninth singles crown at SW19.
Nadal, meanwhile, hasn’t been as successful as Federer on grass and he is searching for his first Wimbledon title since 2010.
And Henman believes Milos Raonic, Novak Djokovic, John Isner and Grigor Dimitrov could contend for the third Grand Slam of the season.
You would put (Novak) Djokovic there, you could put Milos Raonic if he is injury-free
“I think Roger and Rafa are the clear favourites if they are fit and healthy,” Henman said.
“In the next group, you could list a whole host of players.
“You would put (Novak) Djokovic there, you could put Milos Raonic if he is injury-free.
Borna Coric stuns Roger Federer at Halle Open Final
“He has got such a dangerous game and been in a Wimbledon final before.
“John Isner has had some of his best results this year, winning in Miami, has got a huge serve.
“Grigor Dimitrov has played well, is a good athlete and been in the semi-finals before.”
