Roger Federer provides damning verdict on Filip Krajinovic after routine Indian Wells win
ROGER FEDERER has revealed how Filip Krajinovic struggled against him at Indian Wells.
Roger Federer is aiming to win a record sixth Indian Wells title
Federer raced through his match, dropping just three games in a straight-sets 6-2, 6-1 win to advance to the last 16.
The Swiss legend, who regained the world No 1 spot last month from Rafael Nadal, is aiming to clinch a record sixth title at Indian Wells.
Although his second round match versus Federico Delbonis was dragged out over two days due to rain, Federer stamped his authority from the off against Krajinovic, producing sparkling tennis.
And the 36-year-old has conceded his opponent’s serve contributed to his own downfall.
Things go quickly and he hasn’t got the biggest serve out there
“I think my level was good - Filip’s wasn’t as good,” Federer said after the match.
“Things go quickly and he hasn’t got the biggest serve out there.
“You get a lot of looks to break and when you have momentum as well on your side, not only are you serving better but you are better from baseline.
