Rafael Nadal will debut a new racket at the Mexico Open
Rafael Nadal will play with his new Babolat racket in Acapulco.
The racket, named the PURE AERO DECIMA, commemorates Nadal’s stunning 10th French Open triumph last year.
Nadal is a 16-time Grand Slam champion, with 10 of those triumphs coming on the Roland Garros clay.
His 2017 victory was dubbed ‘la decima’ in Spain.
Nadal’s new racket contains the colours from the Spanish flag of red, yellow and black, with orange symbolising the Parisian clay courts.

Babolat have supplied Rafael Nadal with his racket for years
Babolat launched the racket today and their chief maker, who looks after all of Nadal’s rackets, spoke about working for the 31-year-old.
"He is not one of the people who demands the most work of me,” Guillaume Cambon said.
“In addition, Rafa is not a big consumer of rackets: he uses at most thirty a year.”
It is claimed Nadal has never broken a racket intentionally on court - one of the few players to have done that during their careers.

Last year Babolat made a major change to Nadal’s weapon, adding two grams of lead to the head to gain more power.
Nadal is famous for his stinging forehands.
He will debut the PURE AERO DECIMA in Mexico on February 26.
