Andy Murray suffers shock defeat to Grigor Dimitrov in Mexican Open
ANDY MURRAY has been knocked out of Mexican Open, losing 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-3) to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
The Scot looked likely to secure his first final appearance since winning Wimbledon last year by taking the first set 6-4 with relative ease.
However, World 22 Dimitrov had other ideas and responded in a fierce fashion.
Dimitrov fought back to take the next two sets on tie-breaks in a match that finished in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Bulgarian will now face South Africa's Kevin Anderson at the Acapulco International final.
