Heather Watson's first-round match at French Open a victim of the weather
HEATHER WATSON will have to play a waiting game after her first round match at the French Open was postponed to tomorrow due to the rain.
The British number two, who had been sidelined for two months with glandular fever was due to take on Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele in the fourth match on Court Three but the persistent rain meant play had to be suspended.
The inclement weather delayed the start of the day's play for more than two and a half hours.
Watson managed to look on the bright side of things, despite the rain delay.
She tweeted: "Whatever the weather, always bring your own sunshine #ArcDeTriomphe http://instagram.com/p/Z2mA8USZ7x/.
"My match has been cancelled for today (rain) waiting for the new schedule."
Former French Open finalist Samantha Stosur's match was only one of four that were completed.
