Emma Raducanu has been named in Britain’s squad for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in November.

Earlier this year, the world No. 70 played a crucial role in helping her nation qualify for Finals week.

After winning both of her matches during their qualifying tie against France, Raducanu has decided to return to the team in Malaga at the end of the year.

Team captain Anne Keothavong has named her line-up for the BJK Cup Finals, taking place from November 13 to 20. British No. 1 Katie Boulter will lead the squad.

Harriet Dart, Raducanu, Heather Watson and Olivia Nicholls will also step up to represent their country. Boulter, Dart and Raducanu will be the likely options for the singles matches while Watson and Nicholls are expected to join forces in doubles.

Keothavong said: “We are really looking forward to the Finals in Malaga after qualifying following our fantastic weekend in France in April. Our team have created excellent memories over the last couple of years and will relish the opportunity in November.

“There is still a lot of tennis to be played and changes can be made up until the day before our first match.”

Britain will play Germany in their first tie of the knockout Finals on November 15. The winning country will advance to the quarter-finals to face reigning champions Canada.

Each nation can make up to three changes to their team until the day before their first match. With British women’s tennis in a good spot, it means there could be some decisions to make closer to time.

Sonay Kartal won her maiden WTA Tour title in Monastir on Sunday and broke into the world’s top 100 for the first time. She has already been part of the team once - during a qualifier tie against the Czech Republic in 2022 - and will likely be on Keothavong’s radar.

Britain made it through to Finals week when they upset France in an away tie in Le Portel. Boulter lost the opening match to Diane Parry before the team went on a sweep, winning the next three.

Raducanu upset then-world No. 23 Caroline Garcia 3-6 6-3 6-2 before Boulter returned on the second day of the tie, beating Clara Burel 7-5 6-0. The 2021 US Open champion then sealed Britain’s spot in Malaga with a rollercoaster victory over Parry.

The 21-year-old dropped the opening set before forcing a decider. Parry took a 2-0 lead before Raducanu won five games in a row. Things got tricky when the Frenchwoman got back on serve but Raducanu eventually got the job done 4-6 6-1 7-6(1).
