Naomi Osaka faces off against Magda Linette in the second round of the US Open having beaten against Anna Blinkova.
Naomi won the tournament last year, beating Serena Williams to take home the $3.85 million (£3.14billion) in prize money.
Naomi is a formidable opponent going into the US Open, having won the Australian Open in January 2019.

Does this Instagram hint reveal who Naomi’s boyfriend is?
Naomi frequently posts on Instagram, often posing in her tennis outfits and posting about her travels around the world to her more than 945,00 followers.
On Monday, the tennis star added a touching tribute to rapper YBN Cordae for his birthday.
Naomi uploaded a video of the pair of them and captioned it: “Happy birthday kiddo @ybncordae” accompanied by heart, crying face and cake emojis.
The video was of Naomi teasing Cordae by locking him out of the car she was sat in, with him laughing as he was finally let in, knocking the phone out of her hand.
Cordae commented on the video saying: “Thanks ya sooooo muchh and stop calling me kiddo youngsta”.
Despite the touching post and Cordae responding with heart emojis, Naomi has not confirmed as to whether the pair are officially dating.
Fans were quick to comment on the video and ask whether the pair were dating.
One wrote: “Is y’all together?” While another said: “You guys are so CUTE!!!”

Naomi recently joked her husband was Ryoma Echizen - an anime character who has the status as the Prince of Tennis.
The show follows Echizen as he is challenged by other gifted athletes as each player vies to become Japan’s top tennis player.
Who is Naomi Osaka?
Naomi, 21, was born in Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan to a Japanese mother and Haitian father.

She is the first Asian player to hold the top ranking in singles and represents Japan in tennis alongside her sister Mari.
Her parents said of their daughters representing Japan: “We made the decision that Naomi would represent Japan at an early age.
“She was born in Osaka and was brought up in a household of Japanese and Haitian culture.
“Quite simply, Naomi and her sister Mari have always felt Japanese so that was our only rationale.
“It was never a financially motivated decision nor were we ever swayed either way by any national federation.”
