Rafael Nadal refuses to complain about Rogers Cup conditions ahead of Fabio Fognini clash
RAFAEL NADAL says he cannot complain about the strong wind that the Rogers Cup is experiencing this week.
Conditions have been tricky in Montreal this week as the wind is making it difficult for players.
Top seed Nadal has had to battle through his opening two wins over Dan Evans and Guido Pella.
However, the world No 2 claims his experience gives him the advantage over younger opposition.
“We are used to playing like this,” he said.

“When we play outdoors, it is part of the game.
"Of course it is better to play without this wind, but it is also better to play in difficult conditions because the player who has more game options is more likely to survive.”
Nadal takes on No 7 seed Fabio Fognini in the quarter-finals tonight and he is expecting another difficult clash.
"He is playing very well. I saw him a little yesterday. He played a great game,” Nadal added.
“He is having a great season, one of the best of his career, if not the best.
“He is playing at very high levels and I need to play well. I think I played better with [Guido] Pella than with [Dan] Evans.
“I hope to continue with this improvement, which is what I need if I want to continue having opportunities.
"We are in the quarter-finals of a 1000 Masters. All opponents are tough.
“For me, it is an opportunity to go to the court to try to play a good game.
“Then, let's see if I can. Hopefully yes.”
The winner of Nadal vs Fognini will take on either Gael Monfils or Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi-finals.
