Novak Djokovic’s ‘phenomenal’ transformation revealed by Sky Sports pundit before US Open
NOVAK DJOKOVIC is rediscovering his best tennis ahead of the US Open and his transformation has been nothing short of ‘phenomenal’.
That is the verdict of Sky Sports pundit Annabel Croft.
Djokovic, after a tough start to the season, won Wimbledon last month and he beat Roger Federer on Sunday in the Cincinnati Open final to complete the set of Masters 1000 series titles.
The Serbian has shot up to number six in the world rankings and is looking to get back to the top of the men’s game.
With the US Open just around the corner, Djokovic is one of the favourites to triumph at Flushing Meadows.
And Croft believes his turnaround has been nothing short of extraordinary.
“He couldn't be coming into it with any more confidence," Croft said of his chances at the US Open.
"It is just a resurrection of his entire career and motivation. He was beaten by Taro Daniel in Indian Wells and look at where his tennis is now.
“Phenomenal transformation for Novak Djokovic."

Meanwhile, fellow Sky Sports pundit Greg Rusedski has been left equally impressed by Djokovic.
He said: “It just reminds me that [Djokovic] lifts his game when it really matters.
“We saw that in the semi-finals of Wimbledon where he beat Rafael Nadal.
"Here, having played Federer for the first time in over two and a half years, the great champions find a way to lift [themselves].
"I think Djokovic having won Wimbledon announced himself back to the world and now winning a Masters Series title [Cincinnati] again, a long time coming, has taken him to a new level."
Djokovic’s victory in Cincinnati means he now has 31 Masters titles to his name, just two short of Rafael Nadal’s haul.
