Jarrod Sammut back to boost Bradford Bulls against Hull
JARROD SAMMUT made a try-scoring return for Bradford against Hull as the play-off rivals scrapped it out in a tense encounter.
The enigmatic Australian had missed the last four matches with a quad injury, but he came off the bench to make a devastating impact in the 24th minute.
Hull led in the 12th through England winger Tom Briscoe, but Sammut then took centre stage. He chipped a teasing high kick into the corner and was quickly on hand to touch down himself.
Adrian Purtell then broke clear from halfway to send Elliot Kear powering clear for a second Bradford try, but Hull levelled after the break through Danny Tickle.
Then Luke Gale kicked a late drop-goal before hooker Matt Diskin went over late on to seal a 19-12 victory for the Bulls.
