Exeter hit by more injuries as back row Dave Ewers joins Henry Slade on the injury list
EXETER'S Premiership challenge risks been derailed by a double blow to two of their key men with back row Dave Ewers joining Henry Slade on the long-term injured list.
Dave Ewers has picked up a knee injury that will keep him out for at least the rest of the year
Ewers, who was in contention for an England call-up, has been ruled out until the New Year by a knee injury, joining Slade, whose broken leg will sideline him for four months, on the sidelines.
Slade, 22, had a plate and wiring inserted during what Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter described as "a pretty major operation" on Sunday.
Gloucester second row Mariano Galarza has turned down a contract with the new Argentina Super Rugby franchise to sign a two-year extension at Kingsholm.
