Winter Olympics 2018: Norway ‘should be BANNED’ because of curling trousers controversy
NORWAY have caused a Twitter meltdown at the Winter Olympics.
Norway opted for a bold choice of trousers against Great Britain.
The Scandinavian countrymen continued to pull on a brave choice of trousers when they competed in the curling event.
This morning Norway decided opted for jazzy red pants with a white and blue leaf-shaped design.
Great Britain were their opponents and they stormed into a 4-0 lead.
But supporters on social media were most taken aback by the bold fashion sense showed by Norway.
And the fans were completely split with their opinions - but some suggested Norway should be banned from the competition because of the attire.
Norway also opted for a floral choice against the USA.
One user wrote: “Bloody hell. Norway should be banned from the Olympics just for wearing those trousers.”
While another added: “The trousers the Norway curlers are wearing are hurting my eyes.”
And another said: “A brave choice of trousers from Norway!”
Blue, red and white circles sufficed against Denmark.
However, some fans had contrasting opinions.
One tweeted: “Watching the curling. UK currently in the lead, but Norway easily have the better trousers. Tense.”
And further support came from another user: “Finally getting a look at the Norway curling team's trousers. Outstanding.”
