Judd Trump edges out Shaun Murphy in World Championship quarter-final thriller
JUDD TRUMP has booked his place in the semi-finals of the World Snooker Championship after a dramatic win over Shaun Murphy.
Trump will now, barring an unprecedented recovery from Stuart Bingham, meet Ronnie O'Sullivan in the last four.
If so, it would be the first time the two have faced each other at the Crucible.
Murphy rallied hard and despite breaks of 128, 70 and 88 in the final session, he came up just short.
Trump edged him out in a dramatic deciding frame, which consisted of some tense safety exchanges.
