Athletics: Usain Bolt edges closer to racing in London Anniversary Games
RECORD-breaker Usain Bolt had edged closer to competing in the London Anniversary Games on the 26th and 27th July at the Olympic Stadium.
The six-time gold medalist held positive talks with organisers to return to the spot where he claimed three gold medals, according to his agent.
The meeting marks the one year anniversary of the London 2012 opening ceremony and is expected to draw a host of sporting stars.
The 26-year-old's agent Ricky Simms said: "We are having positive negotiations, but have still some things to finalise."
It will mark only the second time the Jamaican sprinter has competed in Britain since 2009.
Bolt has tended to stay away from competing on our shores because under UK law he would have had to pay tax on his lucrative endorsement earnings.
It means it would cost him to compete, regardless of the appearance fee he earns.
However, Chancellor George Osborne has announced a one-off exemption for overseas athletes taking part in the Anniversary Games.
