David Haye in demand for Vitali Klitschko or Tyson Fury
WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO is adamant his brother Vitali could face David Haye in November before hanging up his gloves, but unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury is now also angling for a big move up in November.
Vitali defends his WBC belt against Manuel Charr on September 8, after which he has been tipped to quit to pursue his political aspirations.
But Wladimir insists nothing is cast in stone, saying: “If you take a look in the past, it’s very difficult to follow what David Haye really wants. Retirement, not retirement, fighting, not fighting. He says he wants Vitali or me, then fights someone else.
We’ve a few American fighters in mind, but we are hoping to get David Haye
“He eventually fought me, which was great after all the talk. The chances are there for Haye versus Vitali. I just hope Haye is more reliable than he used to be.”
If either Klitschko fails to meet Haye, then Fury will.
Fury’s trainer and uncle, Peter Fury, said: “We’ve a few American fighters in mind, but we are hoping to get David Haye.”
