Judd Trump fires parting shot at Ali Carter
OUSTED tournament favourite Judd Trump hit out at conqueror Ali Carter after losing their Betfred.com World Championship grudge match.
Carter, the 2008 finalist, came back from 12-9 down in an ill-tempered tussle for a shock 13-12 win.
But world No 2 and UK champion Trump branded Carter “childish” after he sarcastically applauded a lucky snooker.
Trump said: “With the clapping, if he wants to do that then that’s up to him. He’s 30-odd years old, it’s childish.

“A lot of players seem to enjoy me losing, I don’t know why that is.”
A delighted Carter said: “I never thought for a moment I was out of it at 12-9 down.
“I had so much bad luck but I just felt that when it really, really mattered it would turn – and it did.”
Matthew Stevens set up an all-Welsh last-eight clash with Ryan Day after beating Barry Hawkins 13-11.
