"What has happened? Crazy, so much fun to play in that atmosphere again.
"Our supporters were incredible there. All of us continue to say thank you to everyone back home for sending messages and buying your lottery tickets. It does really add up to what we are going to hopefully achieve and win a gold medal."

Aitkin qualifies for the final
Team GB's Zoe Aitkin has qualified for the freeski halfpipe final.
The final takes place on Saturday.
It replicates the achievement of her older sister Izzy, who won a slopestyle bronze medal in PyeongChang.
“She’s such a guiding light for me. Obviously being able to watch her win an Olympic medal, that set the bar of what was possible to achieve," Zoe said via BBC Sport
“It’s crazy because growing up, I never wanted to be a professional athlete or expected that this would be my life. Seeing my sister achieve it, at such a young age as well, she was such a big role model for me and it was really inspirational to see someone do that.”
At the half way point
Team GB were able to get just one point back in the fifth end.
It means that they trail by one at the halfway point, with the score sitting at 3-4 to Switzerland.

Team GB behind

After a blanked first end, Switzerland took two in the second to give them a 2-0 lead. But Britain have the hammer going into the third.
Going for gold
GB's Zoe Atkin is chasing gold in the freeski halfpipe and has to hold off China's defending Olympic champion Eileen Gu .
Gu has two silver medals at the Games this year and will want to find a gold medal of her own.
Atkin's dad, Mike, is proud of his daughter's efforts so far.
"She is nervous because this is a very big event, but we've always kept our expectations modest," he said.
"We say, 'Just ski well; do try and put down a run you can be proud of."

Curling tears
The Team GB curling stars cut emotional figures in their interview following their exit.

A chance?
USA have the hammer but despite being 5-3 down Switzerland have forced an opportunity. But the rowdy Americans deliver an impressive shot to all but clear the danger.
US set to take a further point.
GB are leading 7-3 in their match.
USA chants
Sounds like it's going pretty well for the US, which is bad news for GB. They can only do their job and still lead Italy, 4-3.
Chants of U-S-A can regularly be heard and are being encouraged by Switzerland's opponents.

Curling update
Five ends down and GB steal one to extend their lead over Italy to lead 4-1.
The USA currently lead Switzerland 3-1, however. GB need a turnaround there.

Resignation
Paolo Petrecca was the opening ceremony commentator who confused Mariah Carey with actress Matilda De Angelis, and the San Siro with Roma's Stadio Olimpico. Now he has handed in his resignation.

Power cur causes havoc in Cortina

With the race taking place over a large distance, spectators watch most of the events on a big television screen which is assembled on site. However, the screen went off, causing audible groans around the vicinity.
Chilton, who was on commentary duty, also said his screen went off. He said: That semi-final was a bit dramatic. There was a power cut in the middle of it.
"There was huge groan from the grand stand as the pictures on the giant screen vanished.
"They vanished from my screen in the commentary box too, I was looking through my binoculars for 30 seconds!"

What is ski mountaineering?
Ahead of the finals of the ski mountaineering - which was added into the Olympic programme ahead of this year's games - Express Sport has a useful explainer for you.
At the start, the participants begin the race with strips of fabric connected to the bottom of the skis, to ensure there is more grip. When the first phase is over, the skis are removed and placed onto their backpacks, so they can tackle a set of stairs.
For the final ascent, the skis are clicked back on and its a case of get to the bottom as fast as you possibly can, while slaloming through curves and gates.
Each gate must be passed in the correct order. Whoever gets to the bottom while completing every stage is the victory - easy, right?

Ski mountaineering - women's semi-finals
Ahead of the ski mountaineering semi-finals this afternoon. we have a brief explainer of how the finalists are decided.

Unfortunately, there will be no British involvement in the race, but skimo medal favourites Emily Harrop (France), Marianne Fatton (Switzerland), Giulia Murada (Italy), Tatjana Paller (Germany) and Margot Ravinel (France) will all be involved.

Winter Olympics presenter issues apology
Channel 9 star Danika Mason has gone viral on social media after slurring her way through a live cross from the Winter Olympics in Italy. A situation that led the Australian Prime Minister to weigh in.
Mason said she had 'misjudged the situation' by drinking before going on air, adding that the altitude, the cold and the fact she hadn't eaten dinner had also played a part. Admitting she was 'embarrassed', Mason said: "I want to take full responsibility, it's not the standard I set myself."
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese defended the presenter, saying he was 'pro‑Danika' and insisting there was 'nothing to see here', suggesting she had simply been affected by jet lag.
IOC confident all events to be completed
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) are confident all events will be completed in full before the closing ceremony on Sunday, despite multiple delays due to the weather.
The IOC point to the Nagano Games in 1998, where heavy snow, thick fog and rain caused constant rescheduling.
The men's downhill took place five days after it was originally scheduled, and the women's event was delayed by two days. High winds saw ski-jumping delayed, while the bobsleigh competition was reduced from four runs to three because of poor visibility.
However, all events were completed and medals awarded within the scheduled dates of the Games.
"Snow is an occupational hazard," IOC spokesperson Mark Adams told the BBC on Thursday morning "They [snowsport organisers] are used to delays and changes. There are problems when it comes to snow, we are used to those."
BBC pause coverage to breaking news
The BBC paused its Winter Olympics coverage on Day 13 of the Games to bring viewers on BBC One the breaking news that Thames Valley Police say they have arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

A BBC Sport graphic also appeared on screen, reading: "Coverage continues shortly on BBC One." A minute or so later, Irving returned, saying: "Welcome back to the Winter Olympics, Day 13," before continuing with coverage of the curling.

After crossing the finishing line, Leerdam, 27, unzipped her orange skinsuit and showed off white underwear, which is sponsored by the US sportswear giants.
There had been talk that Leerdam could be sanctioned for the act, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) did not consider that to break any media-related rules.

Kennedy hits back at cheating claim
Canadian curling star Marc Kennedy claims he was set up by 'premeditated' cameras designed to catch him 'in an act' of cheating. Kennedy was accused of a double touch by the Swedish team last Friday and received a verbal warning from World Curling for 'inappropriate language.'
The 44-year-old erupted into a foul‑mouthed tirade at Oskar Eriksson, after the Swedish star accused him of making contact with his stone beyond the hog line.
In response, Kennedy pointed to himself in disbelief before shouting: "I haven’t done it once. You can f*** off", prompting Eriksson to fire back: "I’ll show you a video after the game. I’ll show you a video where it’s two metres over the hog line." Canada went on to win the match 8-6.
After the match, Kennedy received a verbal warning from World Curling for using foul language, though he was not formally charged with cheating by the governing body.
Speaking the next day, Kennedy said: "I probably could have handled it better. But we’re human out there and there’s a lot of emotion.
"I’m not going to apologise for defending my team-mates and standing up for myself. I’ve curled my whole life, never once with the intention of gaining an advantage through cheating."

Massive for Team GB
Switzerland are now 7-3 up against Italy after seven ends at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium.
That is a huge boost for Team GB, who need one of Italy or Norway to lose this morning.
Norway are, however, 7-5 up against Canada and looking on course to book their place in the semi-final.

Mixed start for Team GB men's curlers
The final matches of the men's round robin have started and it's mixed news for Team GB so far.
Italy dropped two points to Switzerland in the first end. If the host nation loses then GB will progress.
However, Norway picked up THREE in the opening end against Canada. Remember, GB are hoping to see Norway lose that match.
GB, however, do only need ONE of Italy or Norway to lose to book their passage into the semi-final.
More snowfall causes postponements
Due to heavy snowfall in Livigno and expected worsening conditions throughout the day, the men's free ski halfpipe qualification has officially been postposed.
As of now, women's halfpipe qualifications are still scheduled for tonight.
Hamilton urged to consider bobsleigh move
Lewis Hamilton has been urged by the Jamaican bobsleigh team to consider a shock move to bobsleigh to compete in the Winter Olympics.
Revealing Jamaica's interest in Hamilton, Sky Sports reporter Geraint Hughes said: "[Tyquendo] Tracey is a huge F1 fan - a huge fan of Lewis Hamilton. And even though Lewis is getting on in age, 41 years, he still believes Hamilton would be quick enough at the start and could be a brilliant driver.
"Actually, in bobsleigh they’re called a pilot, as you pilot the sled down all the twists and turns on the ice.
"Such a good F1 driver — he could transfer those skills to bobsleigh. Tracey is convinced of it. And because bobsleigh is pretty fast, pretty hairy, pretty dicey — they get up to around 100 miles an hour.
"Lewis Hamilton — that’s chicken feed. He’s used to double that and more. So Jamaica are fans of Lewis Hamilton and would like him to consider switching to the Winter Olympics after his F1 career and coming over to bobsleigh."

Team GB's Bruce Mouat on victory
After beating USA and giving themselves an excellent chance of securing a top four spot in the men's curling, Team GB's Bruce Mouat delivered his reaction.
"It was a bit of a scary first end," Mouat told the BBC. "But we just turned the momentum straight away and then we forced them into some tricky shots, and he [US skip Daniel Casper] was a bit heavy on a few draws, so we got a few breaks which we probably haven't seen all week. It was nice."
On needing other results to go your way: "This is a horrible position to be in, honestly! Just having to watch other games and hope that the results are going our way is not the ideal position to be in.
"But so far so good and we obviously need tomorrow probably to be the same. We're just gonna have to sit and keep our fingers and our toes crossed and see what happens."

Men's curling permutations
