NBA All Star Game 2019: Giannis Antetokounmpo team – Full roster including Curry, George
THE NBA ALL STAR GAME takes place this weekend, so who is on Giannis Antetokounmpo's team for the mouth-watering exhibition match?
The NBA All Star Game gets underway this evening as Team LeBron takes on Team Giannis in the annual headline exhibition match.
Captains James and Antetokounmpo have filled up their rosters using the ‘playground pick’ format, putting aside conference allegiances to assemble their stellar line-ups.
Steph Curry was unsurprisingly selected as first pick by Antetokounmpo, with the Golden State Warriors ace considered one of the elite stars currently plying their trade in the NBA.
Joel Embiid was next up followed by Oklahoma City Thunder’s Paul George while Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets completes the starting line-up.
Khris Middleton, Russell Westbrook and Kyle Lowry are among the reserves in the ‘Eastern Conference’ team.
Meanwhile, the starting five for Team LeBron is made up of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.
Team Giannis is likely to provide more muscle with a bulky roster but their opponents could well possess more speed and guile, as well as some fearsome firepower – so who will come out on top?
The NBA All Star match will take place on Sunday, 8pm ET (1am GMT) at the Spectrum Centre in Charlotte, North Carolina.
