Rio 2016: Carlin claims silver as Ledecky breaks own record in 800m freestyle
JAZZ CARLIN clinched silver in the 800m freestyle event.

The Brit was up against the greatest female swimmer of all time in Katie Ledecky.
The American was out of sight after the first 100m.
Ledecky, who smashed the record in this event 12 times, was in bullish mood.

The 19-year-old was well ahead of world record pace and she wound up in a time of 8 minutes 4.79 seconds.
The battle for silver was on, but Carlin had enough to clinch her second medal of the meet, while Hungary’s Boglarka Kapas got the bronze..
“To come away with two silvers is amazing,” Carlin said.
“It's been tough, I relocated to Bath two years ago and changed coaches but I believe in myself.
“It's amazing racing with these girls, it's nice to be racing at the top.
“I’ve got great goggles so I could see Katie was so far ahead.
“I’ve felt a bit rough for a couple of days but I just wanted to go in there and see what happened.”
Meanwhile, Ben Proud finisahed fourth in the 50m freestyle final.
