Erin Andrews confirms new career move after FOX NFL contract ended at Super Bowl
Erin Andrews has been FOX Sports' lead sideline reporter for the NFL since 2014, but her contract with the network recently expired.

Erin Andrews, renowned for her role as FOX Sports' lead sideline reporter for the NFL, is set to transition from the NFL to the ice rink this weekend following the end of her contract with the network.
Known for her insightful interviews and deep understanding of the game, Andrews has become a leading figure in sports broadcasting.
However, her appearance at Super Bowl LIX may have been her last for FOX, as she recently became a free agent.
Andrews joined FOX Sports in 2012 and signed a three-year extension in 2022 that lasted until the conclusion of the recent NFL season. As it stands, no decision has been made to extend her contract further.
Amidst this uncertainty, the 46-year-old has secured her next assignment. She recently announced her participation in Skate for LA Strong on February 23, a charity event for the L.A. Fire Relief Fund hosted by the NHL's LA Kings at the Crypto.com Arena.
Sharing the event poster on her Instagram Stories, Andrews revealed that the event will feature a four-team exhibition tournament with celebrities such as Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Danny DeVito, and Taye Diggs. Andrews and her husband, former NHL star Jarret Stoll, are also slated to hit the ice this weekend.
A number of NHL and Hockey Hall of Fame alumni players, alongside NHL stalwarts, celebrities, and brave first responder will come together in an event that aims to aid those affected by recent wildfires.
In a heart-warming gesture, the LA Kings have pledged that all match tickets will be donated to first responders and families severely impacted by the wildfires.

While pivoting to a new career in hockey coverage might not be Andrews's immediate plan, her involvement with the NHL circle during her free agency spells only good things, potentially pointing towards a switch to ice hockey reporting.
In a candid revelation on her "Calm Down" podcast alongside FOX colleague Charissa Thompson last year, Andrews opened up about her current job status, stating: "I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year. Enjoy it, because it's not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up - and mine is."
FOX reporter Peter Schrager shared a set of photos from Super Bowl LIX on Instagram on Sunday featuring sports icons Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, and Thompson, with a heartfelt caption reading: "Some photos from Super Bowl LIX. Beyond grateful. Combine in a week!" However, fans were quick to spot Andrews's emotional comment which read: "Omg I'm crying."
This left many speculating whether the remark was meant as a cheeky jest or if it was laced with genuine sentiment, suggesting that the former ESPN journalist might indeed be gearing up to leave FOX for good.
