Travis Kelce given reality check by brother Jason after Super Bowl pain
Jason Kelce has given younger brother Travis a pep-talk after the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jason Kelce has offered brother Travis some perspective on the monumental achievements of the Kansas City Chiefs amid his Super Bowl LIX pain. The Philadelphia Eagles thwarted the Chiefs' bid for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl victory with a 40-22 triumph in New Orleans, leaving Travis visibly distraught.
Speaking straight after the game before quickly ducking out of the media huddle, Travis told reporters: "This one's going to hurt. Let it hurt and figure out how to get better because of it."
With the sting of defeat still raw, Travis has received a pep-talk from Jason on their New Heights podcast. He told his younger sibling to be proud of his achievements with the Chiefs and reminded him of the mountain they were trying to scale.

"Listen, it's never been done before [three straight Super Bowl wins] for a reason, it's incredibly hard," said Jason. "It's hard to keep teams intact.
"You've played nearly 60 games, damn near, over the last three years. I'm not trying to make excuses but there's a reason it's never been done. I know you guys are frustrated now. The reality is, what you guys have done is amazing, still.
"I know that you don't want to hear that right now and I know that game is frustrating but that doesn't take away the seven times you've been to the AFC Championship, or whatever it is.
"It's remarkable, the journey and the run you guys have been on. And you and certain guys have been at the epicentre of this for the entire time. For a lot of these guys, it was their third time in a row.
"It's one of the most incredible runs that's ever happened in this game and you have your legacies cemented in that. No one can take that away from you."
Meanwhile, Travis shared his feelings of regret. He said: "I wish things had went different. I wish I had made better decisions early on to help my guy Pat [Mahomes] out and help my team find that momentum and that confidence. But you know, I just have to tip my hat to the Eagles."
Speculation is rife that Travis's four catches in Sunday's game will be the final act of his illustrious career as the 35-year-old ponders retirement.
