Lamar Jackson shows true colours with comment on Derrick Henry after record-setting night
The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 30-23 on Monday, with running back Derrick Henry once again starring alongside quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Lamar Jackson has delighted fans with a heartwarming message for team-mate Derrick Henry as the Baltimore Ravens' formidable season continues. Jackson, 27, led the Ravens to slash through the Los Angeles Chargers with a 30-23 victory on Monday (November 25) evening, advancing their record to 8-4 this season.
Following the win, the quarterback praised Henry's performance against one of the NFL's strongest defenses, giving special acknowledgment to the running back's contribution. He shared his admiration saying: "He's just a great all-around back man. I can't give him credit enough for how locked in he is, how dynamic he is. I always say this, the name King Henry fits him well."
Henry notched up 140 yards from 24 carries in the Ravens' remarkable triumph, while Jackson himself nailed 16 of his 22 passes, launching 177 yards and securing two touchdowns. Their recent exploits land them second place in the AFC North after playing 12 games, tailing close behind an 8-3 Pittsburgh Steelers team.
Since Henrys arrival in the offseason following seven glorious years with the Tennessee Titans, he has been an unstoppable force for the Ravens, even being a contender for Offensive Player of the Year alongside the likes of Justin Jefferson and Saquon Barkley, reports the Mirror US.
To date this season, Henry has made a striking impact with 13 touchdowns and a whopping 1,325 yards over 221 carries. And last month, Jackson expressed conviction that Henry stands a solid chance of surpassing the NFLs single-season rushing yards record.
He explained: "It's there. I feel like he has a great chance of achieving that. I think he can do it. I believe he can do it." However, smashing the record is no walk in the park for Henry, who needs to maintain a whopping 156-yard average in the final five regular-season games – a daunting, yet not unachievable challenge for the towering 6'3" and 250lbs running back.

Should he achieve this feat, it will hardly be Henry's first brush with NFL history, though it would be the first record he'd hold outright. At 30 years old, Henry has already etched his name in the annals of football by tying the record for a 99-yard rushing touchdown, in addition to holding the joint-record of most career games with over 200 rushing yards (six) – sharing these accolades with Tony Dorsett, Adrian Peterson and O.J. Simpson, respectively.
Looking ahead, the Ravens are poised to clash with the Philadelphia Eagles on December 1, with games against the NY Giants, Steelers, Houston Texans and the Cleveland Browns awaiting them.
