NFL 2019 Draft: Nick Bosa cleans Twitter account after 49ers interest
NICK BOSA has deleted several controversial tweets from his Twitter account ahead of this year’s NFL Draft because of interest from the San Francisco 49ers.
The 21-year-old from Ohio State is projected to be one of the top picks in the NFL draft and as a result of that he has resorted to cleaning his Twitter account.
Bosa admitted to deleting a tweet in which he called former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick a “clown,” after he began kneeling when The Star Spangled Banner was played, as a means to draw attention to racial injustice across America.
“I had to,” Bosa said.
“There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco.”

Bosa has also previsouly criticised Beyonce’s music and the Marvel film Black Panther, before going on to delete those tweets as well.
The defensive end has also expressed his support for President Donald Trump, with one tweet showing a picture of Trump and Ronald Reagan with the caption, ‘Goats’.
The Arizona Cardinals have the first pick of the draft and many experts are predicting they will take quarterback Kyler Murray with the No 1 overall pick.
The 49ers have the second pick in the draft and it is well known San Francisco are still in the market for a pass rusher.
San Francisco have already acquired linebacker Dee Ford in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite the 28-year-old offering the defence a threat of getting to the quarterback, after recording 13 sacks last season, San Francisco are still looking for another pass rusher for the defensive line in the upcoming draft.
49ers general manager John Lynch believes San Francisco are well prepared for the draft and has spoken about Bosa and Alabama’s defensive tackle Quinnen Williams.
“We’ve done a lot of work on those guys,” Lynch said.
“We’ve done a lot of work on the entire draft class, but it really gets hyper-focused now.
“We’ve condensed a lot of the information. Now the coaches come up and we put it all together.”
Lynch’s comments came before 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne claimed the 49ers' defensive line would be complete with the addition of Bosa.
“Bosa the icing on the cake for the D line,” he said on Twitter.
Bosa is one of the top five rookie prospects in the country and in his freshman year he played all 13 games, making 29 stops and five sacks.
In 2018 he started the first three games, making 14 tackles, six for a loss, while also recording four sacks and a forced fumble.
However, he suffered an injury in Week 3 that forced him to spend the rest of the fall rehabilitating and preparing for the upcoming draft.
"It feels like my entire life has kind of been building up to this moment," Bosa said.
"There is no other sport that's ever given me the kind of rush that football does."
