Sean McVay: Rams coach spent just TWO MINUTES inspiring stars ahead of Super Bowl showdown
SEAN MCVAY only need a few minutes to inspire his Los Angeles Rams players ahead of them taking on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
The 33-year-old gave a short speech in the Rams’ final team meeting today, which lasted “two or three minutes”.
The Super Bowl might only be the fourth post-season game McVay has coached, but he has tried to keep the build-up during the week as normal as possible.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero revealed details of the Rams final preparations before taking the field in Atlanta.
“Sean McVay’s speech lasted all of about two or three minutes,” Pelissero said.

“McVay has tried to keep things as normal as possible this week.
“No guest speakers, no big production.
“It’s been low key messaging.
“Focused on the Rams culture going out there and playing their best today against the Patriots.”
Regardless of what happens tonight, McVay will make history as he becomes the youngest head coach to lead a team to the Super Bowl.
And he will be going up against the Patriots Bill Belichick, who will be competing in his ninth Super Bowl as a head coach.
McVay isn’t daunted by the task ahead of him but is aware of Belichick’s ability to make numerous in-game adjustments.
“You get seven different guys involved whether it's running the football, five different guys catching it that Jared spreads it around to,” McVay said.
“So, we'll see what kind of approach that they want to be able to take.
“But you know that they've got a great understanding of how to attack you and make you feel like, all right, you're in defence mode when you're on offence.”
Few would question that McVay has transformed the Rams in his two years with the organisation and some of it has bee accredited to his four key phrases.
1. The standard is the standard.
2. Situational masters.
3. We not me.
4. Our rule — be on time.
When defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh re-signed a one-year, $14million contract with the Rams he said the decided factor was McVay's leadership.
"There's different models of being able to coach people,” Suh said, reports ESPN.
“And I think it's a matter of really looking at it — is it a dictatorship or is it an open communication and transparency?"
"A players' coach is going to be open communication, transparency, have it laid out from the very beginning of what his expectations are."

And that sentiment is echoed by Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
“As soon as he got in, you could see the type of culture he wanted to instil, and the type of team that he brought in, and obviously, his knowledge of the game,” Goff said about McVay.
“But I think outside of that, you just see what type of guy he is, and the way he likes to do everything the right way.
“And you do see right away that he’s got — obviously — a bright future.”
