Snow Fairy out of Royal Ascot
SNOW FAIRY has been ruled out of Royal Ascot due to a minor setback, according to trainer Ed Dunlop.
Unfortunately Snow Fairy has suffered a minor setback, which means she will be on the easy list for a couple of weeks and will sadly miss Royal Ascot.
The multiple Group One-winning mare had made quicker progress than expected in her recovery from an injury sustained towards the end of last season, but Ascot will now come too soon.
She had apparently come through a racecourse gallop last week with flying colours and was all set to clash with Al Kazeem and Camelot in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, but is now likely to be campaigned in the second half of the season.
The trainer said: “Unfortunately Snow Fairy has suffered a minor setback, which means she will be on the easy list for a couple of weeks and will sadly miss Royal Ascot.”
Following Snow Fairy’s defection Paddy Power bet: 7-4 Al Kazeem, 2 Camelot, 9-2 Maxios, 10 The Fugue, 12 Saint Baudolino, Mukhadram, 16 Hunters Light, 25 Afsare.
