Horse racing tips April 15: Horses you MUST back at Hexham, Pontefract and Windsor
SOLO SAXOPHONE (nap, 3.40) can hit the right note for Team Skelton at Hexham this afternoon.
Ridden by Harry Skelton and trained by his father Dan, Solo Saxophone bounced back to form to win comfortably after a short break and can defy a 7lb penalty for that Wetherby success.
Fisher Green was twice a winner at Musselburgh in February, but was soundly beaten in a handicap at Wetherby last time. This is easier.
At Windsor, the Charlie Wallis-trained KING ROBERT (nb, 3.00) can follow up his Chelmsford win in the five-furlong handicap.
The six-year-old is a consistent sort with recent form figures of 1-2-3-6-1 and was always holding off his rivals after taking it up a furlong from home at the Essex all-weather track.
He hasn’t run on turf for a while, but today’s return to grass shouldn’t pose too many problems.
Fair Cop showed a measure of promise on his comeback after a very long absence at Newcastle and should go well.
In the finale on the Windsor card, SAUCHIEHALL STREET (treble, 5.00) hasn’t the best of records on turf, but was placed on the all-weather (Lingfield) last month and can take advantage of his lenient mark on the grass.
Vanity Vanity was a decent third behind Musical Major at Lingfield last time and is respected.
