Masters 2018: Punter pockets FORTUNE with THIS £5 bet after Charley Hoffman hole-in-one
CHARLEY HOFFMAN was delighted after sinking the first hole-in-one of the tournament today – but one golf fan was even more delighted with his 16th hole heroics.
Charley Hoffman earned one punter a fortune after sinking a hole-in-one
The 41-year-old aced the 16th at Augusta earlier today, becoming the 12th man to do so on the par-three hole in the past 16 years.
And he was overjoyed, sprinting off the tee to give his caddy a hug before delivering high-fives to anyone else in the vicinity.
There were likely to be similar scenes in Twitter user Andy Miller’s house too.

The lucky punter staked a £5 bet on Hoffman to get a hole-in-one before the tournament got underway at enviable odds of 125/1.
A clip of the shot has been seen by thousands since it was posted on Twitter tonight as golf fans showered the American with compliments.
“So awesome and couldn't happen to a better dude and family,” read one comment.

Another user said: “What a shot, love that.
“It’s getting interesting, always glad to see Hoffman doing well,” added a third.
Miller profited a whopping £630 – but that is a minor amount compared to the winnings on offer for this year’s Masters champion.
Around $11m (£7.8m) are expected to be split among the field, with the winner set to take home just shy of $2m (£1.4m).
