WATCH: Tiger Woods hugs son after record-breaking eighth WGC win
TIGER WOODS has been commonly perceived as a private man and has often kept his children out of the public eye, but that all changed on Sunday.
Woods picked up his son, Charlie and held him in his arms as he headed for the scorer's tent in full view of the cameras.
The World No.1 celebrated his eighth win at the Bridgestone Invitational after storming to a seven-shot victory.
His victory was something of a procession from Friday onwards, when he carded a career-equalling best 61.
Speaking about his embrace with his son, Woods told Golf Channel: "He’s [Charlie] never seen me win in person.
"Sam [daughter Sam Alexis] was there at the U.S. Open in ’08. She doesn’t really remember it but she likes watching the video of it.
"But he’s never been around when I’ve won a tournament so this was special for both of us and one that I think hopefully he’ll remember."
Woods will be looking to win his first major in five years when he takes to the field for the USPGA Championship on Thursday.
