Sandy Lyle out to end a run of three missed cuts
SANDY LYLE has the distinction of teeing-off first tomorrow behind ceremonial starters Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.
It will be Lyle’s 32nd appearance and the 25th anniversary of his spectacular seven-iron bunker shot on the 18th that set up a birdie, as he became first Briton to land a Green Jacket.
The Scot, who will try to end a run of three missed cuts at Augusta, said: “Even to this day everyone remembers that bunker shot.”
