The latest news and updates from Aronimink Golf Club as moving day of the PGA Championship gets underway

It's moving day at the PGA Championship as a field of 156 players is cut to just the top 83. A number of top stars from the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have struggled at this year's instalment of the second major of the year, which takes place at Aronimink Golf Club.

Wyndham Clark, Tyrrell Hatton, Viktor Hovland and Tom McKibbin are also among the other big-name players who failed to make the weekend's play.
On the flip side, Scottie Scheffler's dreams of defending the title he won at Quail Hollow just 12 months ago are still alive, the 29-year-old sitting pretty at T9 headed into Saturday at two under. Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka are also among the other elite-level pros who will vie for glory this weekend.

DeChambeau among elite stars to miss cut
DeChambeau was dumped out of the PGA Championship on Friday evening with an overall score of seven over par, as he struggled to get to grips with Aronimink Golf Club.
You can find out who else missed the cut here.

McIlroy and Scheffler in agreement
McIlroy and Scheffler have agreed that Aronimink Golf Club holds a difficult set-up, as both men vie for glory at the PGA Championship.
Scheffler said that the conditions were the hardest he’s ever seen, while McIlroy shared a similar sentiment despite a spotless round of 67 on Friday.
He explained: "It's been hard to make birdies out there because obviously, one, the wind the last couple days, but also where they have put these hole locations, I feel like they have really tried to protect the course the first couple of days.
"So it seems like they have used up a lot of the really hard ones. So depending upon a little bit calmer conditions and maybe a couple more favorable hole locations, I think guys that have, that are just here for the weekend feel...I think everyone's got to feel like they have got a chance.
"It's bunched, but you get on a run with wedges on that front nine and you shoot 4, 5-under and all of a sudden you're right in the thick of things."

Player misses cut through heartbeaking penalty
Garrick Higgo missed Friday's cut at the PGA Championship, but could have made it through to the weekend's play had it not have been for a two-stroke penalty for lateness.
The golfer carded rounds of 69 and 76 from his first two rounds to sit five over at the end of Friday's play - missing a 24-foot eagle chance on his final hole which also would have kept him in the running.
It comes after Higgo was docked two strokes for turning up late to his tee-time on Thursday. Speaking about the incident, he said: "I wouldn't have been late if I knew I was running late.
"I was obviously there on time, but late...one second is hard to define."
