Keegan Bradley has endured a massive change in his fortunes since his brutal Ryder Cup rejection was captured by Netflix cameras, with a "printing error" causing more chaos for him last year. In an unexpected move, the PGA of America selected Bradley as their captain for the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup Team - just 12 months after he was a shock omission from the 12-player squad list.

This time last year, Bradley was given the heartbreaking news that he hadn't been chosen by U.S captain Zach Johnson to feature on his roster. The incident was captured by TV cameras on the Netflix documentary Full Swing, although the producers nearly missed out on witnessing the call entirely.

According to Chad Mumm, the executive producer on the docuseries, the show's producers made a critical error after printing the wrong address on the call sheet - leading to a last-minute scramble to get to Bradley's home to film the phone call.

"We get a call from the producer, we have the wrong address. Somehow it got misprinted on the call sheet, and our producer has the wrong address, so it's like two houses down," Mumm told Golf Digest.

"I have to call Keegan to ask to confirm what his address is, so I call him knowing this [other] call is potentially five minutes away from happening. I call him, he answers, I say 'hey buddy, we got a crew here... can you just confirm this is your address because you know we're going to be coming around, and he was like 'yeah'.

The Full Swing producers turned up at Bradley's door, and despite everything that went down, the 38-year-old let them in. As it happened, Johnson called as soon the crew arrived.

"So, we go two houses down, open the door, we run in and soon as we sit down, he gets this devastating phone call," he said, before footage of the awkward call between Johnson and Bradley plays out.

In the 12 months that have passed, Bradley has gone from USA's forgotten man to their new leader. While it was reported that 15-time major champion Tiger Woods turned down the opportunity first, Bradley now has the chance to repair the damage from their 16½ - 11½ loss to Europe in the previous edition.

"My passion and appreciation for golf's greatest team event have never been stronger," Bradley, who never won the tournament as a player, said in a statement.

"The Ryder Cup is unlike any other competition in our sport. And this edition will undoubtedly be particularly special given the rich history and enthusiastic spectators at this iconic course. I look forward to beginning preparations."
