PGA Championship 2019: Tee times, pairings, live stream, TV schedule for Round 3
THE PGA Championship 2019 begins today in New York. Here are all the details you need to know on tee times, pairings, live streams and how to watch the first round.
PGA Championship: Koepka aims for back-to-back title win
The PGA Championship sees the world’s best golfers battle for supremacy in New York this weekend.
Reigning champion Brooks Koepka has a commanding lead at Bethpage Black as part of a tournament that has been switched to May this year.
The defending champion has said he wants to become only the fourth player in history to win ten Majors in his career.
Discussing his chances of regaining the title, a bullish Koepka said: “There are 156 in the field, so you figure at least 80 of them I’m just going to beat.
Just hang around. If you hang around, good things are going to happen
“From there you figure about half of them won’t play well, so you’re down to about maybe 35.
“And then from 35, the pressure is going to get to some of them.
"It only leaves you with a few more, and you’ve just got to beat those guys.
“I think one of the big things that I’ve learned over the last few years is you don’t need to win it, you don’t have to try to go win it.
“Just hang around. If you hang around, good things are going to happen.”
