Ryder Cup pairings announced: Fourballs line-up confirmed - Tiger Woods with Patrick Reed
RYDER CUP PAIRINGS - Tiger Woods has been paired with Patrick Reed in the fourballs.
Ryder Cup: Team USA practice ahead of the tournament
In his first Ryder Cup since 2012, Woods will tee off with Reed against Team Europe's Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood in the last fourball match of the session.
The opening fourball will see Europe's Justin Rose and John Rahm against USA's Brooks Koepka and Tony Finau.
The second fourball match will be between Europe's Rory McIlroy and Torbjorn Olesen and USA's Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler.
The third fourball match will be between Europe's Paul Casey and Tyrrell Hatton and USA's Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
The fourballs are due to begin at 7.10am.
Former Newcastle and Tottenham player David Ginola hosted the opening ceremony in front of more than 40,000 people.
British band Kaiser Chiefs provided the entertainment before the players and staff on Team USA were brought out.
Team USA captain Jim Furyk said: "Inside the ropes we may compete against each other, outside them we stand together.
Team Europe were then introduced and captain Thomas Bjorn took to the stage and added: "This continent can be a fragmented place
"When it comes to the Ryder Cup it is different. We stand as one.
“Together we have achieved many great things.
"More than anything we will play for that flag."
Furyk and then Bjorn then took turns to announce pairings for Friday.
