Man Utd transfer news: BBC Sport journalist reveals update on one player as rumours swirl
MANCHESTER UNITED star Chris Smalling will not be joining Wolves this summer, according to BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone.

Manchester United defender Smalling has been linked with a shock move to Wolves, who have already made a splash in the transfer market this summer.
The Premier League new boys have landed handed Rui Patricio, Willy Boly, Raul Jimenez and Joao Moutinho in what has been a fruitful window so far.
Manchester United star Smalling has now emerged as a target with Wolves unlikely to poach former Real Madrid star Pepe from Besiktas. Social media has been awash with claims he has agreed a move to the midlands.
But BBC Sport journalist Simon Stone insisted the England international will not be going anywhere this summer.
He tweeted: “No idea where those Chris Smalling rumours started but he is not leaving Man Utd. Club no intention to sell.”
United are currently pressing ahead with their transfer plans with just eight days of the window remaining.
So far, Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant have all signed.
But Jose Mourinho is demanding at least two more signings with a centre-back and right winger top of his priority list.
Express Sport understands United have made Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic their chief attacking target.
However, they may have to stump up considerably more than the £48million they offered Inter a year ago.
Toby Aldwerield and Harry Maguire are wanted at the back.
But it appears United have no interest in selling Smalling who, last month, vowed to bounce back from his England World Cup squad.
“Initially, it’s obviously disappointment, because you want to be a part of big tournaments,” said Smalling.
“I had to come to terms with that and I made the most of the biggest summer break I’ve had in my career and I’m feeling fresh and ready to go.
“I’m feeling good. I went to Thailand and Vietnam. I made the most of it.
“And I can hopefully get a full pre-season, which I’ve not had in many years.
“I just want to follow on from the number of games I played last season (46), keep kicking on and helping the team, just making us play better together and hopefully win some trophies.”
