Man Utd transfer news: Jose Mourinho wants one player signed before Anthony Martial leaves
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho no longer wants Gareth Bale or Willian - with Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic his ideal Anthony Martial replacement.
Man United target Ivan Perisic displays incredible skills
Manchester United boss Mourinho is keen to sign a winger with Perisic, Bale and Willian all being linked.
However, with Bale and Willian expected to stay at Real Madrid and Chelsea, the Red Devils have settled on their Martial replacement.
Martial is understood to want out of Old Trafford and, even though Ed Woodward wants him to stay, a move away is on the cards.
Chelsea and Tottenham are both circling amid uncertainty over the 22-year-old’s future, with interest also strong at Bayern Munich and PSG.
And the Mirror claim Manchester United have, with two weeks of the window remaining, decided to pursue Perisic.
At the moment, Inter Milan are confident of keeping their man.
Manager Luciano Spalletti said as much last week, claiming: "In the last few days I talked to Perisic who finished the celebrations.
“He told me he is mentally tired and in terms of energy.
"He must recover but he has not told me anything that concerns his desire to stay here in Milan."
Perisic starred as Croatia made the World Cup final, scoring three goals from seven outings.
Manchester United transfers: Expert predicts Perisic to join
The Mirror say United want him to sign BEFORE Martial is allowed to leave.
However, negotiations with Inter are unlikely to be easy.
The Serie A giants proved to be stubborn a year ago when United saw a £40million bid for Perisic fail.
And, on the back of his World Cup showing, the Red Devils may have to fork out a huge £60m to secure his signature.
