Man Utd transfer news: Second Bayern Munich deal on cards after Martial revelation
MANCHESTER UNITED could end up brokering two transfer deals with Bayern Munich this summer.
Jerome Boateng displays incredible defensive skills
As revealed by Express Sport this morning, Bayern want to sign Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
United would prefer the Frenchman to go abroad rather than to suitors Chelsea or Tottenham, so a deal could be settled this summer.
But the Red Devils are themselves eyeing a Bayern player.
According to German magazine Kicker, United are ready to make a move for defender Jerome Boateng.
The centre-back has been at Bayern since his move from Manchester City in 2011.
Kicker reckon a deal up to £53.5m could be agreed between the two clubs.
However, they note that Paris Saint-Germain are also eyeing the Germany international.
Boateng, 29, is one of a number of defenders United are believed to be looking at.
Express Sport understands manager Jose Mourinho is keen on £30m-rated Milan star Leonardo Bonucci.
But Leicester’s Harry Maguire is also a target following his excellent World Cup with England.
As for Martial, United had hoped to keep the ex-Monaco star but his determination to quit Old Trafford means they will let him leave at the right price.
Manchester United want £60m to cover the £58m fee they paid Monaco for Martial back in 2015.
