Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho is 'not happy' - reason why revealed by transfer expert
MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho is unhappy with his defence, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry.
Mourinho has been eyeing up a move for Juventus' Alex Sandro but he's yet to get it over the line.
Sandro, 27, is a left-back and there is a feeling around Old Trafford that Mourinho wants a reshuffle.
United are open to selling Luke Shaw - he has a year left on his current contract - while Matteo Darmian could follow him out the door.
"Jose Mourinho - we know he's not happy with his defence. He's certainly inconsistent in the way he's chosen his front three," McGarry said.

"What they also need to do is get Luke Shaw out to properly strengthen that position, and they are also trying to get Matteo Darmian out. There's a lot of work to be done.
"They've got the advantage of the extra weeks of the window to get Darmian out because his most likely destination will be Italy.
"It doesn't look to me like they're going to be able to convince Shaw to go."
But one of the defence that Mourinho is frustrated with looks to be set for a starring role.
Antonio Valencia will be United's next club captain following Michael Carrick's retirement at the end of last season.
"The captain was Valencia last season, and I think he's going to be the captain," Mourinho said, said.
"When he doesn't play, we have to make decisions.

"It depends on who is on the pitch. If [Chris] Smalling is, Ashley Young is, if (Ander) Herrera is or (Juan) Mata is, if they are on the pitch they have an option.
"[Nemanja] Matic has all the attributes to be Manchester United captain, but he arrived only one year ago.
"But I never care much about the captaincy, I care more about the life in the dressing room and the leaders. The armband means what it means."
