SUNDERLAND starlet Sam Greenwood has dropped a huge hint he is about to join Arsenal.
Arsenal transfer Sam Greenwood scores impressive volley
Greenwood, 16, has posted a picture on his Instagram story from outside Arsenal’s London Colney training ground.
Reports last week claimed the Gunners were in pole position to sign the striker.
The Daily Mail claim Manchester United and Liverpool were keen on Greenwood.
But it appears Arsenal may have beaten their Premier League rivals to his signature.
Greenwood scored six goals and provided six assists in 15 appearances for Sunderland in the under-18 Premier League last season.
Greenwood could be one of three new players set to join Arsenal.
Sampdoria’s Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira was due to have a medical today ahead of a £26million move to the Emirates.
Torreira impressed for Uruguay at the World Cup until their quarter-final exit to France on Friday.
Arsenal are also said to be close to signing Lorient midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.
Guendouzi, 19, is a French defensive midfielder who made 21 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
The signing of the trio would take Arsenal's tally to six incomings so far this summer.
New boss Unai Emery has already brought in goalkeeper Bernd Leno, centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos and experienced right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.
