And with South American regulars Philippe Coutinho and Paulinho set to be joined by and Gremio's Arthur Melo this summer, Mina may become surplus to requirements.
Mina only signed in January from Brazilian side Palmeiras.
As for Coutinho, Barcelona are working on securing the Brazil international EU citizenship through his Portuguese wife, Anie.
His Uruguayan team-mate Luis Suarez holds an EU passport through the same process.
