World Cup fixtures: Who will Spain, Russia, Portugal and Uruguay play in knockout stage?
WORLD CUP fixtures - Portugal, Spain and Russia discover their knockout opponents.
The World Cup knockout fixtures are slowly coming together as the first batch of teams qualify wrap up their group stage.
Hosts Russia secured progression to the last-16 of their home tournament before their third match against Uruguay on Monday.
It meant the 3-0 defeat to the Uruguayans cost them nothing but a top-place finish in Group A.
And both Russia and Uruguay were then made to wait to discover who they would face in the last-16.
As it happened, both Spain and Portugal managed to battle their way out of Group B despite heavy resistance from Iran.
