MANCHESTER UNITED have signed defender Diogo Dalot and this is what happened on his first day at the club.
Man Utd's Diogo Dalot first day with the club
Dalot becomes United’s second summer signing following Fred through the doors at Old Trafford.
And after putting pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with the Red Devils, 19-year-old Dalot got his first taste of life at United.
The defender was seen posing for pictures at Carrington’s front entrance before facing some questions for his first interview with the club.
Soon it was time to don the United kit for the first time for a photoshoot.
Dalot was seen posing in United’s new royal blue away kit as he had fun with footballs in front of the camera.
After progressing through Porto’s youth teams, Dalot made seven appearances for Porto in all competitions last season, playing a part as the club won the Primeira Liga title.
"Joining Manchester United is an unbelievable opportunity for me," Dalot said.
"I have grown up in Porto's academy and I am so thankful for everything they have done for me.
"But the chance of coming to the biggest club in the world is something I just couldn't turn down.
"I’m excited about working with Jose Mourinho and learning everything I can from such a successful coach."
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho hailed the young defender as a talented young player.
"Diogo is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club," he said.
"He has all the attributes that a fullback needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto Academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level."
