Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp tells Real Madrid that Cristiano Ronaldo can be sold - report
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told Real Madrid he will sell Cristiano Ronaldo if he takes the Bernabeu job this summer.
Ronaldo transfer will be 'difficult to make happen' says Sid Lowe
Liverpool manager Klopp could take over at Real Madrid following Zinedine Zidane’s shock departure last week.
Despite winning three Champions League titles on the trot, the Frenchman sensationally chose to quit due to exhaustion.
Klopp has since emerged as a shock candidate, despite the Liverpool boss still having much to prove over on Merseyside.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say that, if he takes over, he has told Real he will let Ronaldo go.
The 33-year-old appears to be angling for a sensational exit.
Speaking after Real beat Liverpool to win the Champions League last week, he said: “In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that have always been on my side.
"It was very nice to be at Real Madrid, in the coming days I will talk about it more."
Manchester United are spearheading a list of potential suitors with Ronaldo reportedly keen to return.
And Diario Gol say Klopp will not block any exit if the Portugal star demands it.
The Liverpool boss does, however, have three names in mind to replace Ronaldo if he finally leaves.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane is on their radar.
And Klopp would also consider deals for Robert Lewandowski and Timo Werner, of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig respectively.
Real fans want Klopp to be their boss going forward.
But who Los Blancos turn to remains to be seen, with Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino also linked.
