Barcelona transfer news: Man Utd surge into Griezmann control as Mourinho works charm
MANCHESTER UNITED are ready to sign Antoine Griezmann this summer after the Atletico Madrid hitman rejected a move to Barcelona, it has been claimed.

Manchester United appeared frontrunners in the race to sign Griezmann from Atletico Madrid a year ago.
However, the France international chose to stay in La Liga after Diego Simeone’s team were slapped with a transfer ban.
Since then, United have seemed second-best to Barcelona in the race to secure a deal for the 27-year-old.
But Spanish outlet Don Balon say Jose Mourinho is trying to win the race for Griezmann by making a promise to him.
Griezmann craves love - wherever his next move is.
That seems in short supply at Atletico Madrid with fans of the La Liga giants booing him in their final game of the season.
Griezmann was visibly upset by his treatment and had to be consoled by former Liverpool striker and Atleti legend Fernando Torres.
And Don Balon say Mourinho is using his charm to entice the player to United.
He has supposedly offered the France international a starring role - despite having a wealth of attacking talent at his disposal.
Griezmann can play in numerous positions across the attack.
It seems unfeasible that he would be deployed as a centre-forward at United given Mourinho’s delight at Romelu Lukaku.
He could compete with Jesse Lingard for a place in the No 10 role.
And Griezmann could be deployed on the right, where United have struggled, given his tendency to cut inside.
