He fell under a challenge from Sergio Ramos, who subsequently landed on the player.
And Liverpool have confirmed Salah has appeared to have dislocated his shoulder.
The player will likely get a full scan of his injury when the Reds return to Merseyside.
But Salah’s World Cup prospects are now in doubt too.
