MANCHESTER UNITED have released a second statement in the wake of Sir Alex Ferguson's hospital admission.

The Scot is recovering from a brain haemorrhage after being taken into hospital over the weekend.
News of Ferguson's illness broke early on Saturday evening.
And shortly after full details began to emerge of their former boss' health problems, United released a statement confirming the fears.
This prompted the entire football community to rally around Ferguson, with tributes pouring in from all over the globe.
And United have now thanked everyone who sent their best wishes to the Old Trafford legend.

"Manchester United would like to thank its friends in the wider football world for the countless messages of support that have been conveyed following the news that Sir Alex Ferguson underwent emergency surgery on Saturday evening," the statement read.
"As well as being uppermost in the thoughts of our own players, past and present, Sir Alex has been the subject of many warm and touching comments from other clubs, governing bodies and individuals in the beautiful game."
The statement singled out a select few tributes from the likes of UEFA, The FA, FIFA and Ferguson's former club Aberdeen.

Players who have played under the Scot flocked to social media on Saturday to pay their respects.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Michael Carrick and Rio Ferdinand were just a few of the stars to wish Ferguson a speedy recovery.
